Don't lose heart, my friends.
After spending a whole week talking about chasing our dreams, I know how quickly frustration and despair can creep in.
"It's never going to happen."
"It's hopeless."
"Just give up on the dream and settle for the partial and the safe."
Those statements simply aren't true. I know that's an easy thing to say, but as you listen to our stories on the podcast over the next few weeks you'll hear that our lives haven't been the easiest paths to walk either.
Hope is real.
More importantly, hope is internal. It's not something that comes to you. It's something that comes out of you.
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23 - NIV)
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (NLT)
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. (ESV)
Your heart is the key to life. It's the key to hope. It's integral to chasing your dreams. Guard it well, my friends...not to lock it up, but to protect it from despair.
There is hope.
